the process

Empathetic, results-oriented services, tailored for you.

1 Discover needs

Once you make contact, it starts with a discovery call to your home to look at the big picture. Why do you want help now? What are your short- and long-term goals? What are you ready to share about how your space looks and functions? If you’re moving, what is different (the exciting and scary) about the new place?

From here, we schedule a first meeting and figure out where to begin.

2 Design a Plan

Each project is unique, and a one-hour home visit* is the best place to start. Please don't feel the need to tidy up. Seeing the reality of your space and routines while we talk about your needs allows me to observe, connect with your priorities, and prepare an accurate quote.

At the end of the home visit, we'll talk about the steps ahead, pace of working sessions, and more. Next, I prepare a proposal outlining what we discussed and detailing steps for the project.

*The initial home visit, like the discovery call, is free.

3 Implement the Plan

We start where you have the greatest need and move at a pace that works for you. I take into account your natural capacity, ways of thinking, focus level, and stumbling blocks. In our working sessions, we will declutter, take measurements, and replace or develop storage solutions.

The more I understand what motivates you, the better I can lead us through the work. And by working together (in parallel, body-doubling, or independently), we can be accountable to each other and achieve your goals.

I take photos at the start and end of each session. Evidence of progress can energize you, and seeing the change affirms the power and value of your goals for your home and life.

What to Expect

Change can happen as slow or fast as you need based on your timeline, readiness, and effort. Each project varies in duration, and most clients schedule one (or sometimes two) sessions per week for four to twelve weeks.

The details of duration and frequency depend on the project. I work with your pace and needs.

My Approach

I’m Rebecca, the hands and heart of Get Ready, Stay Ready. I know how important it is to build a home as a sanctuary. I’m a frequent traveler, a sometimes fiber artist, and former work-from-home professional. I know what it’s like to lead a multi-dimensional life and design a home that helps you work, recharge, and gather friends and family.

I’ve developed straightforward tools to identify what’s in the way and set clear priorities. We’ll sort through what’s staying, what’s going, and how each space should be set up for everyday use—so your home is more functional, easier to maintain, and nothing important gets lost or forgotten.

Let’s declutter, build systems you can keep up with, and create spaces that help you enjoy your home—for today and as life changes.
